TYI - Live the Tantric Siddha Dharma

MahaSiddha Buddhism
A gö kar chang-lo school of the Nyingma Tradition

MahaSiddha Buddhism has its roots in India and Tibet.

Based in the Inner Tantras and emphasizing the view of Dzogchen, it is a method of transforming all of life into the path of awakening.

We practice the MahaSiddha's Heart Essence teaching and the Inner Tantras. This is characterized by the emphasis on the View, discovering non-dual awareness within every aspect of life. It is simple and non-elaborate, dynamic and joyous, passed on within a close relationship between Teacher and disciple. It is a transmission that originated with Buddha and was lived by the MahaSiddhas, whose life stories exemplify the path. This was explained succinctly by the Tantric Buddha, Padmasambhava and consort, Yeshe Tsogyal.

The Tantric Buddhas founded two sanghas. These are that of the monks, with shaved heads and red robes, and the sangha of white, skirt, long haired Yogins called the gö kar chang lo’i dé, the non-celibate tradition of Buddhists, who lived full ordinary lives. We also speak of this as "Yogic Buddhism" to deleneate it from the Tantric Buddhism practiced by monastics.

We are also fortunate enough to receive teachings on the Aro-gter of the MahaSiddha Aro-Lingma from Ngak'chang Rinpoche and Khandro Dechen, who explain the Inner Tantras and the method of the MahaSiddhas in profoundly direct terms.
